Don Cadoret is a story painter, a self-taught artist from Tiverton, who has been painting stories for over 45 years. His paintings have hung in many public and private collections across the United States, Canada and Europe, including the Clinton White House, the Cahoon Museum of American Art, the Attleboro Arts Museum, Newport Art Museum, and le Muse International d’Art in Montreal.

 

 Cadoret has worked with the Museum of American Folk Art in New York City, the Visionary Museum in Baltimore, Shaker Museum in Pittsfield, MA, Battleship Museum in Fall River, and the Little Compton Historical Society.

   

 His work was represented by Frank Miele Gallery in New York City and Gallery Americana in Houston for many years. He has had works in many gallery exhibits including the Providence Art Club, Twist Gallery in Lexington, MA, and the Black Sheep Gallery in Toronto and Nova Scotia.  Cadoret has exhibited alongside many important artists including Grandma Moses, Maud Lewis, Maxwell Mays, Justin McCarthy, Howard Finster, Janet Munro and Kathy Jakobsen.
